How to play hard to gett?!?

Okk.. so me andd this kid dated and talked for a whilee.. we recently stopped talking but we dont hate eachother.. we p eachother in the hall and i still like him and i know he still kinda likes me, he just doesnt wanna show it.. he never texts me anymore except for really late at night on weekends he will say "hey" ill reply.. then he wont reply after that.. like he is playing a game with me or something.. we used to be reallly close.. but i just really wanna know how to get him to want me.. like how do i show him i dont care anymore.. when i really do?
