What should i do about him?

okk so im a sopre and the guy i like is a senior. he has a girlfriend but she lives over 3 hours away. he does see her on the weekends but i see him everyday in school. my best friend thinks i need to get over him and i told her i would but i still secrectly talk to him. we kavnt kissed or anything so he hasnt officaly cheated...but he hug and look at each other intensly (you know what i mean). well the new semester started this week and i have a chance to get over him for real because i dont see him as much (last semester we had a cl together so it was harder). i told him before that i dont wanna talk to him like this anymore but he says he misses me all the time when i see him and we end op talking like before. idk if i should get over him or let this one happen. i realy like him : )
