17 day old baby in a bouncer?

i never had a bouncer, but my sister in law has her baby's sleep in those when they first come home for a few weeks. she says they all have liked it better (4 boys including a one month old) none of her children have like having to sleep flat. makes sense with having been crammed up for nine months. and the vibration is actually soothing. it's made to simulate the vibrations of the mothers womb. so she is not too young, it's actually probably more comforting the younger they are, but your wife is probably emotional, and if she feels that strongly about it, just let it go. it won't hurt the baby either way-but it will hurt your marriage if you challenge her! :) just approach it at a latter date, or when your wife isn't home or sleeping. (just be sure to turn it off before she gets home or wakes up!) good luck!
